Refund Policy
Scribena is sold as a subscription licence to our software (iPhone and Android mobile apps and a Windows desktop app). This policy sets out how that subscription licence is billed, cancelled, and refunded.
1. Subscription billing
Monthly and annual subscriptions are charged on the billing date and renew automatically on the next billing date. You have access to your plan's features throughout each billing period.
2. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel anytime. On cancellation we refund as follows (no refund fee); paid features end and your account moves to Free.
- Within 7 days of payment: a full refund (statutory cooling-off / right of withdrawal).
- After 7 days: a prorated refund of the unused period — last payment × (remaining days ÷ full billing period).
Refunds are prorated on the amount you actually paid — we do not claw back the annual discount (2 months free) on early cancellation. No penalty or cancellation fee applies.
3. Trial & plan changes
Canceling during the free trial involves no charge and no refund; you simply move to Free. Plan changes (up/downgrade, monthly↔annual) are handled by immediate proration (a charge for the difference, or a credit/refund), not as a cancellation refund.
4. Payment methods & international sales
Where a domestic Korean payment method is offered at checkout, that purchase is sold directly by us and the card payment is processed by our Korean payment gateway (PortOne · NHN KCP Corp.). International payments are sold by Paddle.com as the Merchant of Record, which handles billing, tax, and refunds; Paddle's terms and refund policy also apply to those transactions. Any app-store in-app purchases follow each store's (Apple/Google) refund policy.
